New Membership Information
Thank you for buying a membership for the KDBC. By choosing to buy a membership you are showing pride in being part of our great club and track. KDBC is run by volunteers only. It is not the executive’s track, it is the member's track. In having said this, we expect all members to be involved in the club by volunteering your time. There are many ways to help keep your track in prime condition. Each week there is watering, grooming, rock picking, general clean up and maintenance that need doing, there will also be work parties to come and help at. We will be holding two races and a charity event this year which require many hands to make it run successfully. Check the website for ways to lend a hand under our (Volunteer Tab). By purchasing your membership you are saying you want to be part of this club and track and will help volunteer time. If by the end of the year, you have not fulfilled your part and volunteered some good quality time, then your membership pass could be revoked in 2013 and you will have to pay drop in fees.
KDBC has reached an agreement with RDCO. In this agreement we have agreed to have all our member's bikes tested. The bikes are to comply with CMRC dcb levels, which at this point is 96 dB. KDBC will be purchasing sound testing equipment and for three Sundays at the beginning of our season. We will be testing any bike that comes on the track, even if you are a member you must have your bike tested. We will also be holding testing once a month on a Sunday, so please make the time to be there when we are testing. All bikes that pass will be given a sticker to put on your bike showing your bike is good. If your bike does not meet the dB level you will have to do some modifications to make sure you meet the 96 dB level. Any member that makes any repairs or modifications to the exhaust system on a motorcycle that HAS BEEN TESTED, MUST REPORT IT TO THE EXECUTIVE AND THE BIKE MUST BE RETESTED. (this is a written order from RDCO and we can and will be shut down if this rule is not followed, we are trusting our members to make us aware of any changes).
Upon purchasing your membership you will be given a membership card and once your bike is tested a sticker will be placed on your bike, both must be presented at time of entry into the track. If you have forgotten them, then you will have to pay a drop in fee for that day. All drop in fees must be paid for the day of use.
